Does anyone know how to get chewing gum out of carpet? Noah decided to spit his piece onto the carpet, and it ended up getting embedded into the carpet. Any ideas on how to get it out?

Freeze it with ice and then try to chip it off.  Hope this works.  Good luck.

I was going to suggest ice also. It should harden it enough you can pick it off or scrape it off. If its a carpet with a 'pile' to it, sometimes its possible to snip it out with scissors.

"Goo Gone spray gel" works really good in getting rid of gum from carpet, it doesn't ruin the carpet at all.  You can find it in any store. Just spray it on the gum, let it work for a couple of minutes and then clean it  with a wet wash rug. That should help. It works wonders, I myself have a 5 hyear old son who loves gum and my carpet is tan... I hope this helps... ;)
