Snowman in a Hat!

Time to make

a snowman in a hat....

step 1. buy hat (I got this hat at a party store...for about $4.)

 

 

step 3. buy scarf (dollar store!)

 

step 4. get some rocks from the yard.

 

step 5. spray paint black

step 6. Get some smaller rocks

Step 7. spray paint those black

 

step 8. get some buttons (party store for like 15 cents)

 

step 9. get a fake carrot (dollar store in the bin of fake fruit and fake rolls...

step 10. put all items into hat.

step 11. wrap up

(cellophane...purchased at the dollar store!)

step 12. make tag

(I used some snowman wrapping paper...)

now..you could throw in some sticks...but I knew that they would probably get used as swords around here...so I selectively omitted it...

step 13. tie on tag

step 14. give to somebody you love!

these would make great little gifts to give to your neighbors , friends, and especially a child!

 EASY Sugar Cookies.....

 

 Peppermint Pretzel Melts...

 

My *FAVORITE* M&M holiday treat is what I call "Peppermint Pretzel Melts". All you need is square pretzels, peppermint kisses  and holiday colored M&M's!

Start by lining a cookie sheet with wax paper, then fill the sheet completely with square pretzels. Top each pretzel with a peppermint Hershey Kiss. Heat your oven to about 170 degrees and WATCHING CLOSELY warm them for 5 to 6 minutes. You want to soften the Kiss, not melt it (or it turns into a big mess)! When it's soft (but is still holding it's "kiss" form), you can drop and slightly press an M&M on top. Chill for 5 to 10 minutes to set, wrap in a cello bag with ribbon.

prepare ginger bread cookies dough

cut out ginger bread figures. with a straw punch holes in the hands

bake, let cool, decorate, then string together with yarn/string

 then hang

Peppermint candy. I have no pictures sorry. (im on the road working) but I wanted to share something

Melt white chocolate

crush candy cane's in to small pieces

add to the melted chocolate, place  waxed cookie sheet until harden and break up like peanut brittle looks. Everyone looks for this each year in our family.

Have you actually tried those peppermint pretzel melts? Although it doesn't sound too tasty to me, I think it would be a fun project for my kids to do to take to class for my sons kindergarten class since they sometimes allow homemade treats.

 Effortless cookie dough!

Boxed cake mix of your choice

2 eggs

I stick of butter

Mix, chill and bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

You can make any combination of cookies with this mix:

yellow cake mix /2 cups chocolate chips, M & Ms, holiday sprinkles...you could also add food coloring to the mi for holiday cookies.

devils food cake mix/ 2 cups white chocolate chips, 2 cups holiday M & Ms, or 2 cups chopped Andes mint candies.

 We made those pretzel treats before but use regular chocolate kisses, everyone LOVES them. Never thought about using the peppermint ones!
