We bought a house back in August and are slowly working on it. My project for the last 2 weeks has been the kitchen. I spend so much time in there, I just couldn't take the ugly walpaper anymore! What do you think? New paint, new cabinet hardware, new light plates and switches, and tile flooring.

REALLY? They were horrible! lol They look black in the pic, but there were actually the same green that was on the walls. They were ripped and torn and about 20 yrs old. I thought they were hideous and so did everyone else who saw them.

I would have been OK with them, if they had been black but it was just to much green! And the same pattern all over the walls too!
Thanks-I spend so much time in the kitchen I like to have a bright cheerful room-my last kitchen was yellow and done in sunflowers!
I know! lol It almost made you dizzy looking at all the checkerboard. The entire house is done crazy like this-they were trying, but failed miserably! But I'm not afraid of DIY!!!

LOL...I scroll down and see the first pic and I am thinking "this is the re-do...its hideous!" and then I see its the "before" pic, and wipe my brow ans say "whew!" LOL. That before was just wrong on a 100 levels, lol. I think the after made your kitchen look actually bigger! Its nice and brightened up. Good job!
