I need kitchen decorating Ideas. Even craft things would work! I live in an apt so I can't paint anything, but I can use wall decorations and other extras things except physically change the apt. Any ideas? I kinda want to do a country themed kitchen. I'm leaning toward blue colors. Red is my second choice
curtains are a cheap and easy fix too. Or since you're going country, pick up some cute farm style plates from a thrift store and mount them on the wall...
There is so much out there for country decor...My kitchen isnt country but I have berry garland with stars and lights above my cabinets and it just makes me happy! Think of a collection above the cabinets, a few pictures on the walls, curtains and rugs, plates, canisters . I think it would be fun to paint the legs on your kitchen table and chairs in blue or red...also placemats and a centerpiece . You can find so much at yard sales and thrift stores...and sometimes all it takes is a little paint. Most of all, have fun decorating! That's the best part!

You can get little nick nacks for the walls with that country wedgewood blue and some red splashes for: pot holders, dish towels, serving spoons, bowls, appliances all in red maybe; you can do a table cloth on your table with some checkerboard red and white or with the country wedgewood blue and get some kitchen accessories in pops of red, get some wicker baskets, put a pretty flowery wicker swag with country ribbons over the door or window.
You could do a collection of baskets along the top of your cabinets, or get some old mason jars and "dye" them blue. Get some old speckled pottery and hang that. Cast iron skillets or decorative enamel ware. There are so many things and directions you can in with country. You can go modern country, antique country, traditional country, even country with fruit, lol. It is a look that has no boundaries and is what you make it. Look in flea markets, antique shops, Craigslist and yardsales. Have fun with it.
