Green counters, what color do I paint... PIC

I have dark green marble counter tops in my kitchen.  What color should I paint the walls???  I have oak cabinets, and wood floors.  I am at a total loss on colors for the walls, I just know that the white is driving me nuts. I painted the living room, its a sadny brown now.  And that green table is gone, we have an oak table now.
Thanks in advance.

I think a yellow color or a soft brown would be pretty. Many people shy away from yellow but there are so many shades of it.

This is what I am dealing with too!  I have dark wood cabinets, dark wood floors and green countertops (not mable though).  I went around and around.  I picked a red and yellow, then my brother in law asked if I like McDonalds THAT much!  Well, red and yellow are out.  I decided (with the help of my brother in law) to go with green and tan.  I picked a shade of green that went well with the countertops and that went well with my taste (which was a earthy tones green, NOT a hunter green, cuz I dont like that)  When we moved in (a week ago) everthing is painted white....I dont like white!  SO...good luck.  I would love to see pictures.  You may see mine up soon too.
Oh, what color are your appliances?  Mine are black because the wood work is so dark.
oh, I like the soft yellow/tan tones.

Is there any other color in the green marble....like the lines??  I would pick a brown shade that looks good with the cabinets, maybe like a darker khaki color...or you could even do a burgundy color....it would make the cabinets pop and also go great with the counters.

Do you have any pictures??

The color of your oak cabinets matter.  Is it a dark or light?  I think a red tone might clash with darker cabinets.  And red and green may be too christmas-y, so if you go withred make it more burgendy in color.

can you stand where the table is and take a shot of that wall and also a closeup of the green? I can't see much from that photo.
