I've been told it isn't that big of a deal really, easier than it sounds.  The thing that is making me nervous is that they want me to attach proof showing my circumstances back when I was originally put on withheld status.  That was 9 years ago!  I don't have anything to show.  Has anyone gotten by with their own statement without the other letters?

It was just one of those situations where I had more growing to do and no one to help me along, school just was not my first priority.   I should have put it on the top of the list but I guess just didn't know better at the time.  How do I show proof of that?  =(

I have spoke with a person in the FA office and was told that because it was so long ago and it wasn't anything major that I do not have to include the documentation.  All I need to do is write my letter.  What a relief.  =)

Glad to hear it! I was going to tell you that I had a similar situation and they let me do the same and it all came through fine! That was 2 years ago and I got my Associate's degree--now working on my Bachelor's.

Thanks for this post I'm going through the same thing. I've been a nervous wreck.
