Hi, I am new with this group and noticed some of you have egg allergies.

Here is a simple, workable, and tasty recipe to substitute eggs.

1 tablespoon ground flax seeds

3 tablespoons water

simmer flax seeds and water in a saucepan for about 5 minutes(or less or more time depending on the amount you are making) or until thick, egg-like consistency has been reached. (the consistency is like whipped egg whites)

Let cool before using in a recipe

THis recipe make 1 egg's worth, but it can be easily made into larger quantities using

the 1:3 ratio - ex: 1 cup ground flax seeds and 3 cups water  = 16 eggs worth.  This will keep in the fridge for about 2 weeks

use about 1/4cup (which is equal to 4 tablespoons) of the above ratio egg substitute for every egg.

Enjoy
