Thinking of getting our son an Ipod or MP3 player for Christmas. Any recommendations or sales you guys have seen? Please provide links if you can. Thanks!

My daughter is seven and I am definitely getting her a mp3 player for christmas. I don't feel she is old enough for an ipod yet, not to mention ipods are too expensive. I found her a disney mp3 player at kmart for 39.99 which was affordable considering she wants a million other things for christmas too,
My mom bought my dauther and niece a blue one from Walmart for Easter last year, it is blue and cost about 30.00 and hold more than enough songs 500+........they love them and they are very easty to use.

My daughter has this
She loves it. You can also buy the face plates at TRU and they are always on sale
My 6yr old daughter has the pink one of this that we got at Walmart. She also has a pink ipod shuffle. She likes both of them, but seems to prefer the mp3 player. In my opinion, it's more 'kid friendly' and prettier.

We bought our 7 yr old daughter a pink frog mp3 player for her birthday. We found it at toys r us for 20. I found an mp3 player at family dollar today for 15.00.
Hope this helps..

The Ipod nano is $40. Both my kids (3 and 7) have one. Love them!
Thanks for the advice ladies. I def. want to get him one. Where did u find one for $40? I'm checking online and they're like $149 or more.
I have been checking TigerDirect.com for MP3 players. They have a nice selection that are very well priced, any where from $20 to $40. These are refurbished so they are better then new. I am in the process of checking the few I have selected on amazon to get customer reviews of the devices so I can find one that is easily usable for a tech savvy 7 yo boy.
