Here in GA it's 4 years old.  Anything before that would be daycare that you pay for.

Our school, our parishes catholic school, starts at K3 and goes to 8th grade.  A child must turn 3 before or on September 1st to start K3.

Josef's birthday is Novemeber 29th and attended K4 since the first year for the K3 program was last year.  He would have attended K3 had it been available to us-he loves school and we love the school as well.

Crystal, a catholic, SAH, car seat crazy because my child is not a minimum, child-led weaning, organic eating, allergy friendly cook, green cleaning, pro delay/selective vaxing, momma to a bundle of energy to a 5.8yr old little man named Josef who keeps busy while playing soccer and attending catholic school, despite some major challenges in our life but thanks to the hard work and prayers of many Josef succeeds at everything he puts his mind to.

Well we don't have free pre K in AZ unless they can do head start which we can't. My son started pre k at 4 and my daughter at 2. But we payed for all that. If you want her in preschool you will have to pay. I think reg preschools are better than the day care learning centers.

3 here

My youngest missed cut off date by about 2 1/2 months. She will have to wait until Sept to start. She will have a late start to Kindergarten too though

Assuming you still live in Pigeon Forge, TN, then according to the Sevierville County Board of Education, a child must be 5 by September 30th to attend Kindergarten, so that would mean that a child would need to be 4 by September 30th to attend Pre-K. Have you tried some local day cares? They should offer the free Tennessee pre-K program. Sometimes they have some slots open in the middle of the year due to someone moving or being pulled out one program and entered into another. Good Luck!

Where we live it starts at age 3. If you can't get her into a program where you live, try creating an area in your home that is "like school". Maybe a small table, a bookcase to keep supplies. Get her a backpack and few school supplies(pencils, crayons, etc). Find some workbooks and printables to do with her. You can play school at home with her, she may think it's really fun but you are actually teaching her things as well. She can get up in the morning and get ready as if she was going to actual school, put her backpack on and then she can walk to the area where you have "school". When I was little I played school all the time, but I was the teacher, lol.

My daughter went to pre-k when she was 3. Here in Fort Wayne if you are trying to potty train your child then they can go at the age of 3. If not then they have to wait until they are potty trained.

My boys did preschool starting at age 3 and pre-K at age 4.   They just went a couple days a week for a couple hours each day.   We did have to pay for it though since our school district doesn't provide it.

It depends on the school. Some schools have PK3 and PK4....other schools simply have PreK which means they have to be 4 and there are no classes available for 3 years olds.
