Are you cooking Thanksgiving dinner, is it a potluck, or are you going to someone else's house?
We are staying home and I am cooking the dinner, no one is coming over and we're going nowhere.
Yep...Dh works tomorrow night and can't eat turkey, but, I LOVE TURKEY! So, we ordered a ham dinner from Kroger (8lb spiral ham, 2 lbs stuffing, sweet potato souflle and 12 rolls). I am making a turkey breast, green beans, mashed potatoes/gravy, more rolls and dessert!
I made a dark chocolate pecan pie. Tomorrow we cook the main course (a veggie pot roast,) the salad, the veggies and what ever else comes to mind that we might want.
The "usual suspects" are coming to us - MIL, my mom and the 5 of us. SIL just called and begged off. Seems her friends are more important. Oh well, no pie for her! (and it's usually nicer w/out her.)
I am cooking for my family, my mom and dad and my brother. I will be doing all the cooking with a little help from my older daughter. I am making a turkey, ham, hashbrown casserole, sweet potato casserole, broccoli casserole, peas, rolls, deviled eggs, cornbread stuffing, peanut butter and chocolate pie, and pecan pie. I have started with some of the early prep, but the morning will be a little crazy. I hope everyone has a great holiday!
