I just caught my DD (7yrs) pulling DS (3yrs) around our hardwood floors with a belt tied around his stomach!!! Then when I told her to stop because that could hurt him she decided with all her 7 year old attitude she knew more than me and argued, to the point I was mad. He likes her to pull him but this is the first time it has been dangerous like that. RRRR but her arguing that is what made me mad. I just corrected her at first. Her attitude has gotten completely out of hand anymore.
I am sorry momma. My son has been having an attitude since yesterday, I may cancel Christmas if he keeps it up.
It's normal at that age for kids to test boundaries. I absolutely hate it when I get attitude from my boys. I don't tollerate it an usually send them to their room until they can learn to speak to me in a nice way. It's the elementary school version of the whiney toddler. Maybe even more annoying though and it lasts longer - usually through the tween years and sometimes into the teen years (according to my SIL). I wish I had more advice for you, but I'm in the middle of it as well . . . duh mom, is a common phrase in my house and it's my least favorite right now.
