As a family we like to play board games and card games. We play Monopoly, Uno, Candy Land, Trivial Pursuit, Connect Four, etc etc. We'll also play outside sports like soccer, football and baseball.
What do you play as a family?
we love to play cards, uno, skipbo, phase ten, board games are always good. HoWEVER.. we have a problem.. all of us.. even Anthony, are very competitive,, so any game can easily turn into a screaming, running through the house tag game... never fails!!! Lately it seems that computer games and playstation have taken over, but we still periodically run amok in the house, hide and seek or tag.. LOL
My seven year old so loves to play Apples to Apples Jr. so we play that a lot when we have a bigger group.
You don't need a big group. You just need at least three players that can read. The box says you need four or more but we've played with three. The judge picks up a green card and reveals a word like "adorable". Then the other players look at their five cards and try and decide what best matches that word. Sometimes the cards make sense like "kittens" but sometimes all you have is "Power Rangers" or "vampires". The judge then decides what words matches the best (sometimes it's really funny). The player who earns four cards first is the winner.

Do you need a big group to play Apples to Apples? I keep seeing it in the store but never really looked at it. What kind of game is it?
