Leapster vs v-tech

Which one is better. I am thinking about getting one for my younger son for Christmas and I wasn't sure which to get. So any opinions to which is better.

Leapster is more educational and durable than Vtech. Vtech is more arcade like, but they don't have to actually find the correct answer to progress in the games. I have both and though my kids like both they play their leapsters more.

Well we have a v-tech hand held sytems and most the games we have are educational but it will just shut off for no reason! I do think leapster is more durable ! They like the vtech but it annoys me!

my vtech does that too. usually in the middle of them playing. and then they are upset. they love both systems. but the leapster is better for car rides and seems to have a better variety of games.

We have had both and my kids both prefer the Leapster. They didn't play the VSmile for the last 10 or more months more than 2 times because they liked the Leapster games much better.

We dont have v tech but we do have v smile and it is a piece of junk.

Leapster!    We own all of the Vtech and leapster products. My sons prefer the leapster much more. All of the vtech's have been sitting in the closet lol. My middle son is getting a new leapster for his b-day this month lol. He wore his out playing it. I definitely have to vote leapster because it is touch screen and I find it more educational than the V-smile pocket.
