What time does your elementary school start????
There was a study done a few years back and a number of schools in FL have changed things (Younger kids do better in the morning hours and older kids do better later in the day)....the elementary kids start school 1st and the high schoolers start much later. Here in Georgia, I guess they have ALWAYS had the elementary kids start at the butt crack of dawn...(GRRRR!!! So much for sleeping in!!!!)
**Elementary schools here start at 7:40 AM and are out at 2:10 PM!!! GRRRRR!
9:15 am is when class starts.
The buses get to the school around 8:45 for breakfast.
8:10 for the younger kids, 8:20 for the older kids. (our school is k-8th)
The school system is similar to yours here. The youngest kids go first, elementary starts at 745 and ends at 245. Middle school starts at 830 and ends at 340 and high school starts at 850 and ends at 410.
Our kids arrive at the school around 8:45 and class begins at 9:00. The school day ends at 3:00.
My son's elementary school starts at 8:05. I've heard of the same study but the high schools here don't start any later than that. In fact, some high schools have 7:00 a.m. classes.
I know our elementary starts at 8:10 but I am not sure anymore what time the middle school (6-8) or high school starts. I know when my older girls went the first bell at the high school was at 7:35
