Does your child have one?

Or do they have many friends they hang out with?

Nathan has many friends in school, but at home he has one really really best friend named Dennis that he hangs out with all the time. He does talk to the neighbors and go over there, but Dennis is the main one. They are back and forth all the time.

Our 6, 3, and 2 year olds all have a group of really close friends.

Thats nice. I dont know why, but Nathan and Dennis really only hang out with each other. I dont worry about it right now, but I am later on.

Many friends, but 3 or 4 that they are really closer to than the others.  I discourage one "best" friend and always try to encourage my kids not to exclude anyone (when possible.)

There is no one to exclude really, but I am still worried about it.

She has a few actually. Her next door neighbor is her "bff". Then she has a "bff" that she met through pre-k. Then she has a couple more at her school.

My dd is in pre-k & this is the first year she's really had a  best friend . All she talks about is "my best friend Madison",she writes notes to her & says she wants Madison to come over & play,it's really sweet.

My oldest(5) has school friends but not much outside of school. He spends alot of time with his cousin, they are only 2 months apart, so I would consider them best friends since birth. My youngest is attached to my friends daughter, he calls her " my b" . He is almost 3. T-ball is starting soon and I am hoping he makes some new friends, I feel bad for my oldest, all my friends have kids younger than him.
