Whats in a name?

How did you pick your kiddos name?

After someone, something special?

First names, hubby and I each picked one that we liked, then decided on the day they were born which one suited them more.

Middle names, are after family members and we agreed on one months before their birth.

I think I went through every name in the books and then went back to our original choices. 

I spent a day picking a name and the rest of the pregnancy second-guessing myself. 

Now I can't remember who the hell they are anyway.

They are named for relatives who have passed on. It could be the same name or the first letter, or in DS1's case, his middle name was my grandfather's chosen last name when he became a citizen.

Both first names were just names we liked . The middle names came from their dad, our oldest has his dad's middle name and your youngest has his first name as a middle name( hope that wasnt confusing)

 For Akasha Dh and his ex found it in a very old baby book and it means free spirit.  Her middle name is Ireland...not sure how they picked that.

For the new baby we've picked fire elemental names for a boy and water elemental names for a girl :)

my oldest is named after hubby and my brother, my middle is named after my grandmotherand hubby's grandmother, my youngest is named after a friend of mine from grade school.

We just picked out the name together, based on what we like.  Not a family name.  My DH is a jr, and we definitely didn't want to make him the third because we wanted a unique name for our son.

Just kind of came to me one night. I love the name Nathan and Michael just sounded great with it.
