Is Your Child's School a Nut Free School?

I feel like an idiot because I baked something for the bake sale at the school dance last night and I didn't see it out.  Then it dawned on me that I put nuts in it and they probably said "no nuts".  Sure enough I went home and checked the flyer and it said "no nuts please".  I didn't have the flyer on hand when I was baking because I had to turn it in when I told the school that I would bake something.  I feel like a complete and total idiot.  I told my sister and she said that her daughter's school has a "no nuts" policy for everything.  What about the schools your kids go to?

Nope.. we had a bake sale and just noted what items had nuts.  Why make everyone "suffer" when they are fine?

My dd's been to 3 schools now and I always ask the teacher if they have any kids w/food allergies so if I make something etc. I'll be covered.  She's never had a kid in her class w/one of any kind...

Not the school as a whole. I know that several grades at our school have a second class for food allergy children. It is nut free, wheat free, gluton free, dairy free. Only the classroom though. So when they have class parties the parents have to bide by the rules for any homemade treats. In the lunchroom there is a "nut free table".

I am a Private School sending, Vaccinating, Non spanking, Nightmare Cuddling, Dessert Giving, Homework Helping, Bedtime Kissing, Book Reading, Academic pushing Mother. I believe in the benefit of organized after school activities. I believe in spoiling my children. I believe that I have seen the village and I do not want it raising my child - I will do that, Thank You. I believe that a woman's place is in the home taking care of her house, children and husband. I am submissive and proud, my husband is head of my home. I am a proud, traditional Roman Catholic, as is my husband... Yes we are teaching our children that The Church is the only Church.               Aimee

We have a no nuts class and no nut items are sold in the cafeteria or at bake sales.
