Baseball coach lets sick son play in the game. What would you do?
Don't get me wrong ladies, my son adores his coach and so do we but I'm still a little miffed about what happened last night.
My 6 year old son had a game last night. Well the first thing I notice is that someone had thrown up right in front of the duggout. I soon found out that the coaches 5 year old son was sick and throwing up yet the child was not only sitting in the duggout but interacting with the other boys and playing in the game!
Usually, the coaches wife comes to the game and keeps score. She wasn't there last night because one of her other children also had a game. I was talking to the other moms and we were all in agreement that the coaches son shouldn't be playing and definitely should not be in the duggout exposing our sons to whatever he had.
I offered to let him sit on the bleachers with my husband, but the coach wouldn't allow it.
The mom was at the same ball field and even showed up after the game was over. I'm thinking she should have kept her son with her.
I'm not sure if I'm venting here or if I really want feedback.
Regardless, thanks for listening anyway.
