Student Awards at your school?

What kind of students awards are there?  How are they selected?  How often?  Who coordinates this?

Our school is fairly new (its in its 3rd year) and we are trying to get started with it.  They offer "rewards" in form of a "cheetah buck" for respectful, responsible and safe behavior.  At each assembly they put their cheetah bucks in a box and it serves as a raffle for prizes, lunch with the principal, etc.

We'd like to do more like students of the month.

They get them every quarter... for all A's and/or perfect attendance. Generally its a coupon to have a free lunch somewhere.

We have a wall of fame at our school. The students are nominated by their teachers. There is a new theme every month. This month is caring and Nathan made it for helping his friend read.

Oh yeah... we have Cardinal of the week. The teachers select the student who has been amazing the week prior and each child will end up being Cardinal.

I don't think there are school-wide awards (besides things like winning the school-wide spelling bee or other competitions).

Usually the teacher will find some way to award the kids in their class.

At my son's school they give out Gator bucks good for free ice cream on Fridays.  given randomly for behavior, attendance, helping other kids, etc...

They get certificates for honor roll, perfect attendance, good citizenship, caught in the act of kindness, and some other ones.
