Because I said so. I hated hearing that as a kid and I haven't said it so far but they're still young yet.

That I wouldn't sound like my mom. But more and more I can hear her in the back of my mind saying the same thing to me as I just said to her. Scary lol

I hate you or  I don't like you.  My mother would tell us she hated us when we were kids or that she had to love us but she didn't like us.  It was a horrible feeling that I will never make my children face.

On a lighter note, I told my husband I would never say "because I'm the mom" and I say it all the time!

 Do as I say, not as I do.

I hated when my father would say that to me, and now I find myself saying it to my oldest son especially.  The older he gets, the more I find myself using that line.
