Math help

  Ok my 2 kids get Social Security and right now I have a brain fart. Ok from 1-1-2010 to 12.1 2010. I got 12,072 and I spent 400 each so that 800.00 and  and I have 11,272.00 and  I have to fine out how much I save for each kid their are 2 kids . I'm left with 11,272.00 can some one help me Please

 Not exactly sure what you're asking but your math is correct. 12,072-800.00=11,272.00

  How would I divide  the 11,272.00 to where the 2 kids got the same amount

5636.00 is 11,272.00 divided by 2

SO if you are putting it in 2 savings accounts each one would have 5636.00.

This all you do is take the number divide it by two
