If your homeschooling you might want to look at Abeka Books. They have really good stuff for everything. I graduated from their video school and can vouch that they have a amazing reading program.

I taught my sons using clicknread.com  It is a an awesome program.  Each of my boys were beginning reading on their own before they hit lesson 50.  It is a computer program and each lesson does not take long.  I always did the lessons right with them and encouraged them as they did it.  I tried other methods but they were very time consuming and my boys did not do well with them.  Different methods work better for different kids.  Experiment until you find one that works.  Good luck.  I have been homeschooling my boys from the very beginning.  They are in 2nd and 4th grade.  Message me if you need anything else.
