My 8yr old boys have only asked for 3 things this year...angry birds t-shirts, hot wheels wall tracks (why I don't know since it has been over a yr since they played with hot wheels) and a full drum set.

What are your 8/9 yr old boys into or asking for this year?

Legos are what they ask for the most, but dh and I are thinking new bikes, with some small Lego sets.

Ds2 will be 8 in Jan. He's only really asked for Legos so far. When shopping for a gift for a friend, I asked if that's something he'd like to try since he likes to build his own out of Legos, and he said, "Yeah." His friend just turned 8 and is into Pokemon, Legos, Hex Bugs, and Beyblades.

My 8yr old (9 in Feb.) wants a DS and 2 games to go with. We made a deal in August that if he helps out around the house more and saves up to pay for half he'll get it for xmas. We'll surprise him with a Bakugan or Pokemon cover for it and he'll also get books, some clothes and a couple of DVDs.

I asked my son what he wanted for Christmas, and he said he didn't know.

Now, that was a first!

My 9 y/o son loves everything to do with Pokemon. Legos, and new games for Wii or his DS.
