write 2 ways to break apart each array.

find the product.

i know its 3rd grad math, but honestly i don't get it. and i don't know how the hell i graduated HS. lol. but here it is.

and if u can break it down for me to explain to her. thanks.

I think an answer would be 4*9+2*9=54

I broke down the square into 4 rows of 9 + 2 rows of 9.

You can also break it down into 5 colums of 6 + 4 colums of 6 (5*6)+(4*6)=54

Does that make sense?

How they explain math nowadays is so different.

Instead of "carry over" they use "grouping" or something like that.
