We are going out to dinner and she has asked a question about every aspect of it. "mommy it's dark outside they are going to be closed" so then we started talking about daylight savings, then she wanted to know what kind of food she can have, then she wanted to know if we were going to get a table or booth, could she get a drink etc etc etc. Aaaahhhh

We used to say that our oldest was a "why"er. Everything was "why" "but why" etc… Now his questions are way intense and I'd give anything to go back to when they were relatively simple.

What gets me is when they ask a question they already know the answer to.

My ds does this all the time. Today he asked me if I was going to bake the pizza I was making for dinner. Since he asked a silly question I gave him a silly answer. I told him no he had to eat it frozen. Lol

I give that kind of answer, too : )  "Are we having that for dinner?" "No, I got it out b/c we're going to play football w/ it. Yes, we're having it for dinner@@"
