Mom's irritation! I know I can't really be mad at her about her mood swings, its normal, but the fact that she keeps laying down in the bath tub and now has an ear infection is her fault and I am soooo irritated with her. Ugh! She has only had one ear infection before this when she was 6 or 7, and it is rediculous that I had to listen to her cry and whine all night last night, then go get her from school because she insisted she felt better (she really wanted to participate in their veteran's program this morning) and then haul my 2 month old and 3 year old 20 miles to the doctor's office. I told her when we left the doctor that if she lays down in the tub again, she will lose her DS and her television in her room because her ear is so infected that the swelling inside it is visible to the naked eye and the doctor said if not for her already being deaf he would be concerned about permanent hearing loss. Gaaaahhh!

I've never heard laying down in a tub causes ear infections. I lay in the tub all the time, so do my kids. We've never had an ear infection.

Sorry she is feeling so terrible. Sick kids can really stress parents out. Try to relax!

Its because the water gets trapped and because she's deaf, can't hear or feel the water inside her ear.

Ah. Good to know.

Can you not just put in alcohol drops after baths? That would dry it up. That stinks I can see you being irritated!
