No.  Homework, to me, is important.  It's a way to make sure the kids are bringing home what they're learning in school.

Yes ithink homework is highly overrated.i dont think its fair for kids to be in class all day anf then have to come home with more work. I understand the daily reading but other than that I dont think its necessary unless they are behind

No. Kids need homework to practice what they learn in school.

I find homework to be very important and a great way to really see how well your child knows something.  It is especially important when you are struggling with a subject to have as much practice as possible.  Without homework, some children would never get that extra practice that they so desperately need.

I think it's great for practice. I don't know if it needs to be included in a grade. If the homework is being done, then in theory, the student should be able to pass the tests.

I would not support a homework ban. Homework gives DD time to practice what has been covered in school. It also gives me an idea as to whether she grasped the concepts or not. I can help at home to reinforce what has been covered.

No. Where as a ten year old does not need to write an essay and answer 500 math questions at night, homework is a valuable learning tool
