Dd is watching "are you smarter than a 5th grader"
The question is 2nd grade grammar
"what is the subject of this sentence"
"Sierra baked a cake for Olivia"
A. Pronoun
B. Proper noun
C. Common noun
So the guy picked out "cake" as the subject and answered c.
Jess said "mom he's wrong, the subject is Sierra and that's a proper noun"

LOL I can see why that show is tough for some though. For the last time many had to actually IDENTIFY a subject/predicate, and type of noun most likely WAS in elementary school.

I am actually reviewing grammar rightnow because I am going to be tutoring in Romania. It is amazing how quickly you forget, it used to be my favorite subject!
