might be pink eye... school or no school?

Abry woke up with "gunk" holding one of her eyes shut. I'm not sure, but it looks like pink eye. She's also been having a cough, stuffy nose, and all those allergy symptoms.

She is begging me to go to school. So, do I send her & make an appointment for this afternoon? Or do I keep her & call when they open?

Seriously? If it's pink eye - no school.

This. Go to the Dr and get drops. It clears up easily.

What's the eye(s) look like?

If the eye is obviously pink and the discharge is yellow/green, no school for kiddo.

And if you do send him, the school will notice and send him home anyways. It's highly contagious.

Seriously. She's never had it. When I had it, doc let me go to work right after the appointment. They didn't say anything about "after you take meds" like they normally do when you are sick.

The eye (in comparison to the other) is just slightly pink/reddish. The junk was the same color as "eye boogers" that we get when we wake up.
