My daughter is in 2nd grade and she was so excited over her class Valentine party. She made everyone a card and put a sucker on it and so forth. My daughter who is a special needs child came home from school the next day w/ only 5 cards out of a class of 24. How could any parent let thier child leave someone off the Valentines list? She was so upset and I was fit to be tied! She told me see I told you nobody likes me at school they think i'm wierd. How could parents and the teacher allow that to happen?
I'm so sorry your daughter had a bad day. :-( Kids can be really cruel.
That is awful. We've always had to send in a valentine for every child in the class. I think that I would be mentioning this to the teacher, expecially since your daughter was so upset over it.
We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love. -Theodore Seuss Geisel
Thats really... odd. In the 5 years my son has been in school, all the kids get Valentines. Even the ones that no one likes (that was my son). You said she's special needs. Is she in the class full time? I ask because I helped with a special needs boy and he only was in the class for small periods during the day and had another special class he was in most of the time. Not sure which list he was on come Valentines Day.
Quoting HetherElizabeth:Awe that breaks my heart :( im so sorry she had a bad day :(
