It's Random Acts of Kindness week....
Tell me of a Random Act of Kindness that you did and then tell me one that was done for you.
Last week we shopped at Target. Got home only to find someone's credit card in our shopping bag!
Googled the woman's name - called her and let her know about her card (so she wouldn't have to worry and/or cancel it). She came to retrieve it 2 days later.
My Mom offered to watch my kids so DH and I could go out for Valentine's Day dinner. In the almost 9 years I've been a mom, that has never happened. We thanked her but had to decline since DH was covered in mud from working in a crawl space all day. We did all go to McDonalds together.
One of DD's classmate's family was struggling financially. She is 1 of 5 kids. Her dad was laid off from his job. DD and I put together grocery bags of food to help them out until their tax refund came. We put them in the school office and had the principal tell the mom they were there as an anonymous donation.
I paid for someone's lunch behind me a week or so ago.

Holding open doors and elevators are the most common random acts of kindness that happen in my life--both to and from me.
I took my neighbors trash can in from the curb, and I can't recall any random acts of kindness done for me though lol
This morning I was at school for a little while. Two girls in 5th grade came to the office to make an announcement over the PA system abut it being Random Acts of Kindness day and they were awfully nervous. I stepped into the hallway so that there would be less of an audience and to listen to their message. When the girls left the office I complimented them on what a great job that they did. Both girls got huge smiles on their faces and skipped down the hall.
Last night I paid for the purchases of the lady behind me in Walmart. She didn't buy a ton of stuff but it made her night.
I have had the door held open for me by random people all week long.
