She wants to invite 6 girls and I will have my 6 1/2 yo dd here and if my mom can't take jr, he will be here.
Dh normally works Friday nights (her bday is march 23). So if dh can't get off work he won't be here. I asked my friend who has a dd in between my girls age to also come.
We are going to order pizza, have a cake of her choice. My friend and I are going to make the girls over. And ask them to bring a fav board game. Any other ideas?
Dh is gonna go get donuts on sat morn.
Any suggestions from moms who've had slumber parties for their girls before?
I had a slumber party for my 8 year old. We took them to the drive-in which was so much fun for them. By the time we got back, they knew how to play on their own so I was in my bedroom listening out for them.
You can watch movies, make popcorn and build a fort in the living room and depending on where you live if you want you can build a fire outside and roast marshmallows and make s'mores and tell stories around the campfire.Or you can make s'mores in the microwave.Hang a sheet up in the living room and make a shadow puppet show.Or you can make some games out of house hold items.Like if you have some empty 2 liter bottles and a small ball you can make a game of bowling or if you have a free laundry basket you can use rolled up socks and have the girls try and toss them into the basket from a distance. You can even take stuffed animals and put them around the house and take them on a safari. You can even let them do drawings and paintings or some arts and crafts. There are loads of things you can do.
good idea with the smores, i have a microwave smores maker, it will more than likely be too hot to do a fire outside, we live in louisiana

Yes, my dear, you are CRAZY. Certifiable, in fact.
You could always have the girls make some jewelry. They have kits at the Walmart that aren't too expensive.
