I am just curious, does anyone else have to pay for full day kinder? I live in Arizona and all the schools I have looked into are charging 150 to 250 for full day kinder, half day is free but I see more benefits from full day.

I live in Florida and half day K isn't offered anywhere around where I live. DD goes to full day K and we don't have to pay.

Oh gosh, no. Here in North Carolina, kindergarten is free. Now, they did want to charge for pre-k, but I think so many parents complained that they nipped that in the butt. Pre-k here starts at age 4. Any less than that, then they have to pay for pre-k. But no, NC parents do not pay for kindergten.

Wow that's awesome. No where I know pays for pre-k unless the child has a learning disability or low income, Which is great. But we are middle class not enough to qualify for help ( which I am thankful. My hubs and I are proud that we can take care of our family with out help) but not making enough to have a lot left over. So that's great that your areas have pre-k and kinder covered!

Nope all the schools here have full day kindergarten for free. I have never heard of paying for kinder except for at private schools.
