Does your children have a relationship with there grandparents and great grandparents?

I am a home health aide most of the time I care for geriatrics clients. It so important that grandchildren spend time with their grandparents and even there great grand parents. They can learn so much from each other and also provide love to the grandparents. This society that we live in is so hard that we don't have the time to spend with our love ones. In my profession it is sad to see the grandparents not having a relationship with their grandchildren.

My son had opportunity to know my parents before they died. He spend time with my mother in law. My hubby father died when he was young. Every time I asked my grandmother can I come over she has some type of excuse. Anyway does your child have a relationship with there grandparents and great grandparents.

 Mark your calender Grandparents Day is September 9, 2012 . Do something special with the grandparents.

No GGP's alive still, DH's mother passed away 3 weeks ago and while they weren't close we did visit her a couple of times a year, they haven't seen or spoken to my mother in 3 years and I hope it stays that way. She is far too toxic to have in our lives.

my kids spend a lot of time with my parents and we see my inlaws at least once a month usually (they live a bit farther away). We see my grandparents on my mom's side every sunday at church and my other grandparents once in a while (usually for holidays). i like having all the grandparents in our lives.

Very close with my parents and dh parents. Two older boys might be spending the night with mil tonight. My 7 yo remembers my grandma a little bit she died September of 09.

Our closest relative s 5 hours away and all the rest are 12 hours away. We visit maybe once a year due to money work and all.

I wish my children had a relationship with their grandmas. My mom is just a drunk so they are not allowed around her. Then MIL is across the country but when she comes into town she chooses not me see my dds. Great Grandma (my mamaw) is always sick so we can't visit her (her wishes not mine) Then all the grandpas have passed away.
