He is seven making eight next week. I let him go to bed around 9pm because he get up around 6am during the weekday. Friday and Saturday night he goes to bed late. During the summer he will be going to bed the same time as school because I have to be at work for 8am we need to leave the house early to attend summer camp.
my kids go to be at 8pm during the school year, but now that school is out we let them stay up until 9 or 9:30pm, depends on how they act....
They are almost 3, 5, 7, and almost 13. They go to bed around midnight-2am most nights. If they show signs of being tired I'll send them to bed earlier though (extremely rarely happens), but not just to get a break. We homeschool, so that's year round.
Mine are 14,8,6... they are in bed by 9 or 930, but the 6yr old is up and down all nite so on a good nite he might be out by 12am on a bad nite, 1 or 2am... always been like that, yr round.
Mine are 3, 6, 9, 13, 18. No bed times for anyone during the summer. The 9 & 13 year olds know in advance any activites the next day. They get to choose how much sleep they are going to need. The 3 & 6 year olds usually go to bed when I do. Or sometimes I'll put them to bed earlier if they're being crabby. Same goes for the older ones, any attitude, crabbiness or eye rolling wins them some extra sleep.
During the school year everyone goes to bed at 8, the 10 & 13 year olds were given the choice to stay up later, but that means they have to get up on their own with an alarm clock. They would rather just go to bed at 8. The 18 year old works nights so his schedule is all sorts of screwed up, not that I have a say in his sleep patterns anyway. :)
My kids are 7, 6 , 5 & 3 now that it's summer they have no bed time. But they go back to school they will be going to bed at 7:00 p.m.
I have 7 (8 in Sept) year old twin boys
school .... they are in bed by 9
summer .... they are still in bed most nights by 9ish but sometimes we are out and it ends up around 10ish
