A log cabin was my dream house for many years. My aunt and uncle live in one and I absolutely loved their house in my teen years. Now, I'm not so sure.
The biggest problem with a log cabin is that it is more difficult to run wires/cables through the walls since the walls are solid logs. In a frame house, you just drill a tiny hole and drop your wire in and run another tiny hole to pull it out, not happeing in a log cabin, so you have wires running on the outside of the walls and I hate that look.
