We are going away and i am stressing over packing dd's suitcase.  If she had her way it would be all her dress up clothes LOL.  That i veto'ed right away.  We are going away for 12 days and have access to washer/dryer.

Here is what i packed for her -

swimsuit

5 prs of panties

4 prs of socks

4 tank tops (all she has)

4 shorts

3 summer dresses

2 night gowns (one sleeveless, one long sleeve)

4 tshirts - one long sleeve shirt

3 pairs of pants - Khaki skimmers, jeans and sweat pants

sneakers, flip flops, boat shoes, slippers

It some times goes down to.high 60s at night in maryland, and d.e....so yeah bring something with sleeves...otherwise....more underware if you have lil kids

Quoting frndlyfn:

I live in wash state, going to maryland.  Mom said to pack one pair of pants and a long sleeve shirt "just in case".  DD is 6.  I forgot to put that in the top.

Quoting steelcrazy:

I'm not sure where you live, but I doubt that you'd need anything with long sleeves or long pants.

I typically pack one full outfit per day, includes socks and underwear, plus and extra full outfit for each one of us.

we packed light because we would have access to a wash/ dryer on a trip but ended up spending a day of  vacation doing laundry. hated that aspect. if you can pack for the trip do so and worry about laundry when you get home. don't let it interrupt your vacation time.

I would only pack one pair of long pants and skip the long sleeve night gown. We had a rule of pack double underwear and socks.

I take one outfit per child per day for my 5 and 6 year old.  I also take 1 extra outfit that is dress up.  If they have to change more often I will use the washer and dryer.  But it sounds good to me.

I would do maybe another pair of pajamas and more socks. I usually pack an outfit per day becuase of how dirty my kids manage to get even if we have access to a washer

I found her other sleeveless nightgown that has a matching eyemask for sleeping LOL  She doesnt use the mask to sleep but rather to play in.   Now I have ot keep her from packing all her toys.
