I bought dd a washable cabbage patch doll on clearance, 2 lego sets brand new in box from a local yardsale site for $30 (retails for $40 each), and a 2 screen dvd player for the car (for long trips only because ds has a lot of distant doctors appointments) already.

No way. Gotta get through back to school first. Ds grew like a weed & needs a whole new wardrobe.

Not really. My oldest (9) is getting gift cards so she can buy her own stuff & my 2 year old is getting a few new cheap babies along with a giant cardboard box to play in.

Kudos on the carboard box! Best for that age!

However, I couldn't imagine only doing gift cards for even a teen...how booorrriiinnnngggg... LOL

She will get gifts (jewelry, clothes, movies, nail polish, hair stuff etc) from grandmas & grandpas on both sides & aunties/uncles. Gift cards will be fabulous for her. She LOVES to shop. Loves, loves, loves shopping, so gift cards are perfect for her.

Im debating a winter vacation. I wont bother thinking about presents until closer. Odds are anything I get now they'll have before then.

I usually have 90% of my Christmas shopping done before summer ends but I haven't even really started this year.
