What is the last year of elementary for your kids?

Our school district elementary school only goes to 3rd grade. So this year will be my daughters last year in elementary. It seems a little soon for it to be the last year. I don't remember going to middle school in 4th grade. When do your kids go up to the next school?

The schools around here are K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. DD is going into 6th grade but she is at a K-8 private school.

DS elementary goes K-2.. THis year, he will  be at the big school with no one.. His brother and cousing will still be at the elementary school.. =( He is so sad!

That is crazy putting kids in elementary school in 4th grade. Are you sure it isn't intermediate school? Some school system have a primary elementary school and an intermediate elementary school. Our middle school starts in 6th grade.

Our schools around here are k-12, one campus. So K-6 is elementary and then the "graduate" to high school. We do have a newer school that opened about 5 (or 7 can't remember) years ago. It is a private Christian school and they started out just going up to 3rd or 4th grade, but I've noticed now that they go up to 10th.

Most of our schools are k-5, 6-8, and 9-12. My kids is actually pre-k-5. Dd is going to 4th grade.

Nope not intermediate school. Elementary is K-3, Middle is 4-6, Jr High is 7-8, and High School is 9-12.

I guess fourth through sixth isn't too bad, not as bad as having 4-8 together. I think I would rather see sixth graders with fourth graders than eighth graders so you may have a better system.
