Do you still wear a swimsuit in public?
I can wear a one-piece comfortably. I've never been comfortable in a bikini, even when I was skinny. The last time I wore a bikini, I was about 15. I've always been top-heavy, and when I was on a family vacation at the beach, the waves knocked my top loose! When I got up from being knocked down by the waves, I realized it, and was super embarrassed!
Totally. I've been a swimmer since I was 2- seriously, by 2 I dived in and swam across pools. When I am in a pool, I am at home. When I am wearing a swimsuit, I feel like I am dressed properly.
If people don't find me attractive, I really don't care. Swimsuits are for swimming. And I have such fun with my kids at the pool, and I can exercise at the Y better than 90% of the people in the pool, I really SWIM and I'd never give that up because I'm a bit heavier than I was when I was 30.
