Is anyone doing a 1st day of school gift/craft for their childs teacher? or stick with the good old fashioned apple :)

Nope, never heard of it.
I'm unconventional- hate spas- so I like to hang around a while and see who the teacher is and what he wants. Not everybody wants a Starbucks card. I will totally let him know that I'm available to help when my youngest is in preschool, and any special supplies needed, he has only to ask.

I've never heard of giving a first day of school gift and my oldest is in 6th grade.

I've never done that. I do Christmas, small valentine gift and teacher appreciation day.

Hm. Never heard of it. I do Christmas, a small valentine, teacher appreciation and the last day of school for gifts. Thats enough. Lol
