My 6yo son informed me today that we need to have another baby so we have 3 kids.
I asked him why he thought we need to have another baby because we've
got him and our 18mo son already. (And I've told him several times that
we don't want any more babies.)
He responded "So there are three kids to clean my room instead of just me!" I laughed my head off!
Here's where my question comes in...
He then proceeded to explain to me that he wished he had been able to see his brother come out of my tummy. We live about 10 minutes from the hospital, so we just had him come to the hospital right after I gave birth rather than hanging around in the waiting room so he wouldn't be wanting to come in and end up seeing me in pain and all that fun stuff.
Basically, he's pissed that he missed witnessing his brother being born and wants to see if we have another baby.
I kind of danced around any real answers and told him he could see IF we did ever have another child.
What would you tell a very curious 6 year old boy asking these kinds of questions? He doesn't ever forget things, so he's likely to ask me again soon how his brother came out of my belly, and I don't want to traumatize him or give him a weak answer that he'll know is bull.
