Should I be worred that this toy is too young for her? - Edit**

She is going on 6 and entering kindergarten on Monday.  Everyone says this My LIttle Pony baby doll is toddler/young preschool range.  Dd wants it for her birthday and has a similar one from last year that she just found in the garage and has been going to sleep with.  She is a very normal child.  I just don't want to encourage something I shouldn't by going ahead and getting this for her.

Feature So Soft Pinkie Pie

This is what I just ordered instead...it is ages 3-12, soft and cuddly, but reads storybooks to you.  It may seem like a minor difference, but it makes me feel better......***edit again...I changed from the one below to the same animated storyteller doll toy but this time Pinkie Pie.  I think she'll love it.

If it is something she likes and you think she will like it and play with it then I would get it for her. It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks.

Thanks..I always worry what other people think! LOL  Still, I don't want to encourage something that might even embarrass her.  I guess I"m overreacting, which I tend to do...

I really don't think it will bother her or anyone else. Unless she goes around talking about it then who is going to know anyway? If she is talking about it then she is probably proud of it and wont be embarrassed. If soneone does pick on her about it then it is a good time to talk to her about being proud of what she likes and who she is.

Oh and congratulations on starting kindergarten and turning 6. My youngest daughter starts kinder this year as well.

My oldest is almost 7 and still plays with my little ponies. I think these are perfectly normal toys for a child this age. Too many people want to rush kids to grow up.

I don't have any girls, and if it matters  I don't think this toy is to young for her.
