When my oldest was in preschool 2 years ago, it was about $90/week. Well now I am enrolling my youngest and it is $190/week. SAME school! Wth man, that's only a few hundred short of our mortgage!!! Tell me this is not the going rate....
for private montessori, we pay $400/mo....so I $100/week. But, that only includes the school day 8:30-3. To get early care at 7:30 so I can go to work its an extra $5/day, so appx $110/mo. If you need after care until 4 its another $5/day. There is no care available beyond that.
The daycare/preschool she goes to now while she was waiting to be old enough for the montessori is $500 even a month for 6:30-5:30.

It really depends. I paid 670 a month for 5 day a week preschool including extended care. I believe without the extended care it was 5-something a month. The Primrose Preschool down the street is 255, a week! I thought that was OUTREAGOUS! Some friends of ours are paying 700 a month for 3 full days a week. I have other friends that pay around 400 a month, but the school is more of a day care than a preschool and doesn't require the teachers to have any sort of accreditation. DD's preschool was non-profit at a church and both of her teachers were retired school teachers. I loved her school!
For our younger son's full-week schedule, we currently pay $175/week, excluding meals.
FL has a half day program that's free. I think it's about 130 for the rest of the day if you want them to stay.
Im in illinois..... DD1 went thru a special education preschool half days in the afternoon and then last year was dual enrolled (to prepare for the longer day in kindergarten) in headstart in the mornings and her special ed program in the afternoon..... DD2 is starting prek on monday, its from 1230-230 m-f and DS is starting headstart next friday, its from 830-1230. All these programs are free (DD2&DS are twins, DS has speech therapy which qualifies him for headstart even tho we make more than the income guideline)
Dd went to pre-k at a Lutheran church a couple yrs ago. She went for 3 hrs a day, 2 days/wk, and I think it was $120. We got scholarship help and only paid $68. Everywhere else was a lot more expensive.
Ds1's preschool was free- he went to the school system's developmental preschool b/c of a speech delay- and we never sent ds2 to preschool.
