Whispering

Have you ever seen that show, The Middle? We've watched it a few times, the kids don't watch it or anything and I can't remember the last time it was on in my house, but anyway... LOL
My DD1 is almost 5 and has started whispering to herself like the kid Brick does. She'll say something and then whisper it to herself. I'm not sure it is something I should be concerned with. I know adults who mouth the words they've just said, or who talk to themselves, so I am not sure if this is really a potential issue or just some weirdness coming through. LOL
What do you think?

Could just be a phase. I talk/mutter outloud to myself sometimes. If it's really worrying you, mention it to her dr.

Probably an imaginary friend, try talking to her about it. I dont know if your a believer but some say kids can see things we can't. But most likely its an imaginary friend.

I talk to myself sometimes but it is louder than a whisper.  Did she start doing it after seeing that character or was this quirk being displayed already?

I've heard talking to yourself is a sign of intelligence. I don't know if it's true or not, but I know several people that do it when problem solving.
