I have never got any of my kids sneakers at Payless. We usually go to Sears,Target or Penneys. This year money is very tight and I wanted them to each get a pair of new sneakers. I had a 30 percent off coupon and ended up getting my kids 5 pairs for 60 dollars. My dd got 2 pairs because she loved the neon ones too. What are your experiences with Payless? I usually do thrift stores when money is tight. This year dd wanted a new pair and wanted to pick out her own. I am guessing the quality is probably cheap. I wanted to know how long they might last. Comments are welcome please.
We get most of DD's shoes from there. I typically shop the BOGO sale with a 20% off coupon. She gets through most of the school year if not all of it with the shoes we buy. She usually outgrows them before she wears them out. She's 9 if that helps you with how to gauge the wear and tear.
For the price I usually can't complain because by the time they get really unusable they are too small...although once or twice that's not been the case, but DS1 can also be hard on his shoes, something about the way he walks/run/plays once in awhile. One of the stores near us closed this last year so we've gotten several coupons encouraging us to visit a different location--so when I get the shoes at 40-50% off it's really a great deal!
Quoting Cindy18:They aren't as durable as higher priced shoes. My kids don't mind them. I like shopping there better when they have their BOGO sale.
