What was your most memorable field trip as a kid?
Whale watching in MA. It was the beginning of 7th grade and right before we moved to PA.
Disneyland in 8th grade
We went hiking every spring. 6th grade was the most memorable hike though. I hated hiking.
We went to a horse racing track when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. I vividly remember visiting the barn that had a therapy pool for the horses. It had a very narrow (or at least it seemed like it to me) walkway along the edge of the pool and I can remember being absolutely freaked out over falling in the pool. The water was very deep as most of the horse was submerged in the water.
In 4th grade we took a 3 day field trip to the Tennessee aquarium, Ruby Falls, IMAX theater, and the Creative Discovery Museum.
Class trip to Washington D.C. when I was in 7th grade. Was a 4 night/5 day field trip.
We had lots of field trips....
Some of my faves were to the Griffith Observatory, the L.A. Philharmonic for a presentation of Bach's music and then the school had us put on a play about Bach's life.
In 7th grade I got to go to Universal Studios because of good grades. I even thought back then that it was stupid to give up a learning day for an amusement park. That is a family activity - not school.
