It's Bat Night!

Do you have bat houses in your yard?

Have you ever seen bats flying around your house?

This has been happening a lot in this group.....hmmmm.....

I've seen the odd bat around here - not regularly though - I think they mostly live in the forest near here and don't bother the houses much.  We don't have bat homes in our garden, but we do help every year to put bat and bug homes into the trees in the local park.  

I love our bats - they are little pipistrelles

I've never heard of bat houses. Bats got into our house a couple times when I was a kid.
I've never seen any around our small town though.

Not a lot of bats here, but some. ISTR one of the neighbours having a house. I love bats! But not in my attic. That would be a pain.

 I don't think I've seen any around here, but the area around is us is rural enough to have some, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some someday. I did see some once flying around my bil's ex-gf's parents' house, and they live in a busy area near a mall.

When I was little, we had a bat get into our house 2x. I don't remember the first time, my mom told me about it- it flew around the first floor and my dad killed it w/ a broom when it went behind the drapes. The 2nd one I do remember- it was in the basement and we weren't allowed to go done there to play for a few days; I don't remember if my dad killed it or if it found it's way back out.

No to both questions.  I have lived in places where I saw bats flying around at night, but not here.

No...but I have a lot of bats.......softball bats. :)

 There are a lot of bats around here. I'm pretty sure most of them are living in the eves of my in-laws' 120 year old farmhouse attic next door and their old barn.
