So my dd had her meet and greet today where she got to take her school supplies to school and meet her teacher.  School starts tomorrow.  My dd actually has some about me homework that she needs to bring tomorrow.  She's a really nice teacher and has a child in first grade (at a different school of course), so she seems like she's gonna be good.

My 4th grader had an assignment the first night similar. His teacher sent home a paper where she had answered the same questions. This was to help the students and her get to know one another better.

My DD's first "homework" was to learn her lunch number . She has half of it down but it took 2 weeks to learn that lol. But I am sure she will have it down pat if I keep working on it with her : )

 Sounds like a great teacher!

My daughter got a homework assignment for this year (3rd grade) at the end of last year when she met her teacher. lol I guess she has no excuse if she doesn't have it done since she had all summer. ;-) It's easy- they just have to come up with 2 questions about their new teacher that they would like to know about her.

On my dd's Kindergarten graduation, she received her report card and 1st homework. It was to read up to 15 books during the summer and do 2 reports on any of the books she read.

She hasn't had her first day of school yet.  That's tomorrow.  Today she was just suppose to meet her teacher and put money on the books for lunch at school.

Just curious - why do you say " at a different school, of course".
