Live in a big house all alone or a small house with your entire extended family?

Big house alone. I do not get along with my FIL to have him living with us. And the rest of the family also doesn't get along. So being in one house, and a small one at that would be miserable for all involved.

I am a huge introvert, and if I don't have lots of time alone, I go a bit crazy. Like this Summer.

Also, my family would only really be my parents, and I love my mother but don't get on with my father. But if by extended family, you meant my husband's family, that wouldn't work at all. They are all about cleaning and crafting and doing other girly things all day long, and I'm all about sci-fi and reading, so I would always feel like they were judging me, and I'd be right.

Alone for sure. I'm too introverted to be around that many people in a small space.

If it were only my side of the family, I could handle it, but dh's. . . I like them, but could never live w/ them.

So, I guess that leaves me w/ alone in a big house- as long as I can have a maid come in once a wk to clean it!

Big house all alone. I grew up in a small house with lots of people. And while its fun for a little while, at the ripe old age of 25 i am set in my ways and like my house just so, lol. My family and I dont see eye to eye on a lot of things and house keeping is a major one. I like things clean and unexpired, but they will get to it when they are done with everything else. And my in laws are actually the side of the family i would pick if i had to but they are a family that puts everyone in a place and heaven forbid you step out of that place. Its really hard on my hubby so i wouldnt do that to him.

Big house all alone. I am the black sheep of my family. The only time my hubby's family contacts us is if they need a ton of crap done or money. It sucks. I would move his grandma in though because we take care of her now. We are the only ones that will :(
